Furlong Glass Studio, Brayton Furlong, Glass Artist

Glass artist Brayton Furlong practices the art of flame worked glass in his studio. Noting his tireless dedication to the medium; he has been awarded numerous scholarships from Penland School of Crafts where he has studied under such notable masters as, Paul Stankard, Brian Kerkvliet, Lauren Stump, Henry Halem, and Gary Beecham. Brayton Has worked in almost every facet of glass there is, from scientific to off hand, fusing, slumping, casting, mold blowing and flame worked. Brayton owns and operates Furlong Glass Studio, a flame worked studio dedicated to teaching workshops and producing glass art for galleries throughout the US.

8476  Furlong Glass Studio clear spiral bottle with detailed red rose encasement in stopper. The perfume measures 3.25" high. 5 color roses available; white, red, purple, blue and yellow by special order.

7647 Held  Cranberry Vienna Series Perfume. The clear glass perfume bottle is decorated with stars and other canes and the bladder is cranberry with gold leaf Signed "R. Held". Measures 5.125" h x 2.125"
 

8073C   Held Art Glass Meadow Bouquet Turkish Blue/Lime Perfume Bottle. 7.5" h. x 2.25" d.  Around the circumference of the lovely perfume bottle are millefiori cane flowers of various colors on a Turkish blue perfume bottle. There is a tall clear stopper and the bottle is "R. Held".

8090A Robert Held Gold Feather Perfume Bottle.
Iridescent colors ranging from lilac to gold, green and blue in a pulled feather design make a lovely appearance. Signed "R Held". 5" h. x 1.875" d.

8073A  Held Perfume.  This iridescent pulled feather design was made famous by Tiffany and Durand in the late 19th century. A  translucent lilac bottle with the surface being darker and silver/lilac lines pulled into the feather design. Signed "R. Held". 2.25" w. x 5.375" h. x 1.875"

8090A  Robert Held Art Glass Classic  Iridized Perfume Bottle. On an amber bottle is a pulled feather design with an iridized surface reflecting blue, gold and mauve while the curved lines show nicely. 5.5" h. x 2.5" d.
 

8001 Held Art Glass "Red Poppy" Series Perfume Bottle. This new series is a nice addition to Robert Held's designs. The bottle is a transparent amber on green with applied Poppies and is signed "R. Held". 5.25" h. x 2" d.

8090B  Robert Held Art Glass Classic Oval Art Nouveau Iridized Perfume Bottle. The translucent body shows off the pulled feather design which is edged in white very nicely. The design shows violet and green. 5.375" h. x 2.25" d. 

8073B  Held Art Glass Iridescent Art Nouveau Cobalt Perfume Bottle - 5.5" h. x 2.625" w. x 2.25". Perfume bottle reflects gold, green and lilac on a cobalt body. Signed "R. Held"

7783  Large Mermaid Secret Scent Bottle. 9" h. x 4". Who would think that this sculpted piece is in reality a perfume bottle? The flesh part of the body comes out and is the stopper. The green body,  flesh skin and red hair is an appealing combination.
