THE MORGAN STUDIO

We are happy to be able to offer the work of The Morgan Studios. Morgan Studio in California is owned and operated by artists Anita and Tom Morgan who work alone or collaborate. They both hold degrees and have been in other art fields. Gillian Hodge (d) had been their mentor and they have also studied under Rodney Mott and Richard Hotchkiss. They attended workshops by Marilyn Levine, Susannah Israel, Peter Voulkos (d) and many other artists.

The Morgan Studio produces prize-winning low, medium and high fired handbuilt sculptures and wheel-thrown pottery utilizing RAKU, sagger, low-fired oxidation, pit and wood-firing techniques along with high-fire reduction. A range of styles are used.

7029 Terra Cotta Wall Hanging Frog Planter  - Measures 10 3/4" high x  9 1/2" wide x 5 1/4" deep and is embossed with the studio mark at the bottom of the frog. Indoor or outdoor use.

7095 Morgan Studio Grape Motif Plate - Measures 9 1/2" w. x 9 3/4" x 1 1/8" h. - This interesting grape design plate has a leaf and a bunch of grapes on a stem. The plate itself  has a light peach and blue decoration with the two side rolled up. It has an impressed "M" as a signature.
